Delete My Account

How to request deletion of your Breezan account and what happens to your data.

Just need a break?

If you don't need to permanently delete your account, deactivating is usually the better option: open the app and go to Account → Deactivate my account. Your profile is hidden from new matches and you're signed out everywhere, but nothing is deleted — your jobs, quotes, and messages are all still there. Log back in anytime with your phone number to pick up right where you left off.

Requesting deletion

To permanently delete your account:

  1. Open the Breezan app and sign in.
  2. Go to Account.
  3. Tap Delete my account and confirm.

If you no longer have access to the app (lost your phone, uninstalled it, etc.), contact us with the phone number your account was registered under and we'll process the deletion request manually.

What's erased immediately

  • Your name, phone number, and email address.
  • Your home address (customers) or business address (providers).
  • Push-notification device tokens.

What's kept, and why

Some information isn't deleted, even after your account is:

  • Job, quote, and message history. The other party to a job (the customer or provider you worked with) keeps their own record of what was posted, quoted, and discussed — the same way a receipt or an email thread doesn't disappear from the other person's inbox just because you deleted your account. Your name is replaced with an anonymized label (e.g. "Customer #a1b2c3d4") everywhere the other party can see it.
  • Before-and-after job photos. Kept for up to 24 months for dispute resolution, matching the retention period described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Reviews you wrote or received, for the same reason as job history above.

This is standard practice for two-sided marketplaces: deleting your account can't retroactively erase the other party's own legitimate record of a transaction that happened, or the evidence needed to resolve a dispute or investigate fraud. Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered, and a new signup with the same phone number is treated as a brand-new account with no connection to the deleted one.

Company accounts

If you're the owner of a company account with other team members (dispatchers or technicians) still active, you'll need to remove them from your roster (or hand off ownership) before your account can be deleted — this prevents leaving a company with jobs and quotes in progress with no one able to manage it.
